Confident writing
A one day workshop for University of Brighton staff in non-academic roles who would like to make writing for work easier and more enjoyable

To be held at the Creativity Centre, University of Brighton
Writing emails, reports, letters, proposals, website content and newsletters are amongst the daily writing tasks that University staff must undertake. However, many of you struggle with writing, worrying that your writing is not good enough and procrastinating with writing tasks.
This workshop provides a safe, supportive and creative space in which to develop your confidence and skill with writing. The workshop will cover:
- Becoming more comfortable with writing
- Identifying when, where and how you write best
- Structuring a piece of writing
- Writing for different audiences
By the end of the day you will be able to:
- Write more quickly, confidently and efficiently
- Lower your stress and anxiety around writing
- Produce well-structured, persuasive documents
- Select the right style and tone for different purposes
